Help Desk Analyst
Position Summary:
This position, under general supervision, will provide data and hardware maintenance including cataloging, archiving, system rebuilds, and recycling. As a secondary responsibility this position will perform question/problem diagnosis and guide users through step-by-step solutions in a help desk environment. The environment consists of PCs and Macs. Primary duties will be with PCs, but familiarity with Macs is a plus.
Requirements:
- Associates or related technical degree and one year or more experience
- Ability to work occasional evenings, weekends when required. On call 24/7 in case of emergency
- Ability to analyze and solve problems in a constantly changing environment
- Ability to provide immediate support when available while maintaining large project deadlines
- Excellent communications, analytical, problem solving, and time management skills
Duties:
- Manually archive large amounts of data to disk and tape.
- Assist with computer hardware and software inventory
- Assist with large IT projects
- Assist with running Audio/Video presentation equipment
- Perform configurations, installations and upgrades on Windows based workstations and laptops
- Provide assistance to end users for email, office phones, cell phones/mobile devices, faxes, and printers
