Advertising Account Executive
Client Management
- Sustain positive high level client relationships
- Manage 3-5 projects and/or a significant portion of work within the scope of larger client relationships
- Interact with clients and establish good relationships
- Ensure that team members are contributing ideas and actions consistent with staying a step ahead of clients
Work Quality
- Ensure processes for quality work are followed and recommend new processes as needed
- Know content and follow client engagement handbook
- Review client work of subordinates and provide on-strategy, creative, quality work
- Lead and support a culture of creativity and big ideas on your client teams
Staffing
- Manage projects that are delivered on budget, on time and within client specifications
- Oversee other team members on projects
- Edit and proof work of Project Coordinators
Work Product
- Write sections of communications plans and presentations
- Write speeches, news releases advisories, scripts, PSAs, VNRs
- Write proposals, as needed
- Help develop strategies for clients
- Help develop pitch strategy and make pitch calls to news media for clients
- Attend and/or lead client meetings
- Conduct research and analysis for client projects
- Circulate meeting notes, status reports, agendas to keep team and client informed of the status of projects
Skills and Experience
- Three-plus years of direct communications experience in an advertising agency
- Bachelor’s degree or greater in journalism, public relations, marketing communications or related field
- Superior
written and oral communications skills, strong organizational skills and
proven project management capability
