Media Director
Job Summary:
The Capstrat Media Director will oversee operations of our media planning and buying group, ensuring client needs are met with smart strategies and flawlessly implemented plans. The successful candidate will be a voracious student of media, a strong writer, a compelling salesperson and an organized leader.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day operations of media planning and buying group
- Drive strategic direction for client media plans that are innovative, measurable, research-based and costs-effective
- Develop group processes and procedures to meet client needs
- Drive the growth of the media planning and buying group through proactive marketing and business development
- Recruit, retain and develop talented media professionals
- Serve as a key liaison between the agency and clients, earning confidence and trust
- Participate in firm-wide leadership activities
Requirements:
- A minimum of 7 years of relevant media experience
- Experience in planning and implementation of all media
- Demonstrated ability to develop innovative media strategies
- Strong written communication and presentation skills
- Excellent mathematical and analytical skills
- Strong interpersonal skills that encourage team cooperation, promote enthusiasm, and motivate strategic thinking
- Ability to manage, train and delegate effectively
- Strong listening and organizational skills
- Ability to work on multiple projects effectively
- Advanced ability to present and sell Agency recommendations
- Proficiency with media research tools
- Computer proficiency in Excel, MS Word, and Power Point
