Capstrat Interactive engages with clients on a variety of web-based projects including:
- Microsite development

- New Internet/intranet site design

- Online Viral/Engagement marketing

- Custom CMS (content management system) development and/or implementation of off-the-shelf applications

The right person will be exposed to a number of client projects and variety of other Web design disciplines including search engine optimization (SEO), engagement marketing, development/coding, visual design and user experience design.
Web Producer Position Summary:
A Web Producer organizes Web development teams and ensures adherence to strategy, budget, schedule, project and client needs.
This individual must have a keen understanding for Web site usability, HTML, content management systems (CMS), project management software, Internet strategy and function successfully alone with a client in person or on the phone.
The Web Producer reports to the Manager of Interactive Communications. The Web Producer should have 3-5 years experience in the Web or related field with URLs or online properties to reflect experience.
The Web Producer should have a specialty within the Web world in one of the following areas:
- User-centered design
- SEO
- Technical writing
- Online marketing campaigns (viral or traditional)
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Manage 3-5 projects and/or a significant portion of work within the scope of larger client relationships
- Ensure that team members are contributing ideas and actions consistemt with staying a step ahead of clients
- Uphold the strategic integrity of all Web projects
- Owner and contributor of documentation provided to team and client
- Oversee other team members on projects
- Edit and proof work of Associate Web Producers
- Assist UXD and client teams in requirements gathering
- Perform content entry, site build-out
- Assist user experience staff with completing site map diagrams, and determining resources for content inventories and audits
- Assist user experience staff with wireframing
- Assist user experience staff with the creation of usability test plans, test recruitment, analysis of results and test reports
- Perform general administrative duties for projects
- Attend and manage logistics for client meetings and client projects
- Conduct research and analysis for client projects
- Create budgets, timelines, distribute team responsibilities
- Draft and circulate meeting notes, status reports, agendas to keep team and client informed of the status of projects
Technical Requirements:
- Interest in how things function on the Web
- Proficiency in MS Office, Microsoft Visio and basic HTML
- Understanding or ability to learn basic programming and graphic design principles
- Familiarity with user-centered design principles
- Recommended: Familiarity with JavaScript, Django, Zope/Plone, Hannon Hill's Cascade Server, XML, PHP, Cold Fusion, MySQL, HTML, CSS, XHTML, customized content management systems, cross-browser/cross-platform compatibility issues, 508 compliance and accessibility, search engine optimization, Photoshop, Illustrator and Flash/Actionscript.
