In the old days, when employees wanted to get the scoop on company rumors and hot news, they headed over to the water cooler, the coffee machine or the cafeteria to talk with co-workers. In today’s world, the company grapevine is as close as the employee’s computer. With just a few keystrokes, employees can read and discuss what’s going on inside the company. While this technology allows companies to share and disseminate information faster than ever, it also introduces new challenges.
Newspaper Help-Wanted Ads Decline to Historic Low

Newspapers can’t get a break. Circulation declines, display ads decline and now a report from the Conference Board that help-wanted ads are at their lowest level since 1958.
Part of this decline is said to be attributable to business concerns about the economy and future hiring.
