At Capstrat I think we started this great tradition about 12 years ago. It’s known as Fair Food Day. We can walk into the fairgrounds before the fair starts this year on Oct. 14th and proceed to eat all or as much as we want. There is no admission charge until the 3pm start time. It’s always fun going with co-workers and seeing what everyone will get and try. Are we eating the foot-long hot dogs – what about the buttered corn on the cob. My favorite are little mini-donuts. Since our office is near the fairgrounds we tried one year walking when we realized we really need a car to walk back. Some food favorites are not open yet so you still will have to go back if you want the NC State ice cream/ham biscuits/and much more. And none of the rides or exhibit halls are open because there is judging right up to the last minute. Several of us here at Capstrat also enter items into the fair – I am entering photography/jewelry/cornbread/hand-sewn angels. You know the fall is here when the NC State Fair starts.

Can't wait to stuff myself with all kinds of good food that's bad for me!

I entered my cornbread into the fair today...here's hoping the judges will love it!

Are you going to try the Krispy Kreme Hamburger?

I can't wait to see what it looks like and I'm sure I'll be trying it!
