High School Reunion
The Broughton High School class of ‘79 is preparing for its 30th reunion in a few weeks. Have 30 years past since I was walking the halls, going to the dances, attending football games and racing out to off campus lunch? My daughter, a current junior at Broughton, is doing all that and more. She is taking classes as a junior that I took as a senior or as a freshman in college and she has several AP classes, which I don’t think we even had. Attending her open house with my husband (my senior year boyfriend) a few weeks ago did make it all seem like yesterday. But when I got home to the messy house, the kids, the dog and the blackberry, it seemed like 40 years.
