New Year's Resolutions
Here we are starting a New Year. So I got out that pad and paper and began working on my list of resolutions for 2011.We all do this – even if it’s just in our heads. In an effort to get some inspiration, I researched New Year’s resolutions online. I got the usual: lose weight, get a better job, get in shape. These are all fine and good, but they are not me. They don’t speak to what I want to do for myself this year. So I thought about the things in my life that are important, the things that inspire me and make me a better version of myself. Here are ten resolutions I came up with that seem to fit my life and my goals.
1.Ride my bike more.
2.Read.
3.Spend more time with my parents.
4.Spend time with all my friends — and visit old friends.
5.Enter more of my projects in new categories at the NC State Fair.
6.Take more pictures and share them.
7.Give back.
8.Listen to new music.
9.Fix things around the house.
10.Start my earring business.
Some of these resolutions may not seem like your typical resolutions but they are things I want to work on this year — and most importantly — they are doable. So I suggest sitting down and writing out what you are going to accomplish this next year. It doesn’t have to be ten things — it could be just one. Then go and start enjoying 2011!

I know where you can listen to new music, Terry! :)
Number 3 really touched me. Having lost a parent at a young age, I wish I could tell everybody in the world to say thank you every day for your parents. I'm really glad to see this as one of your Resolutions.
