Office feng shui tips
Now that most of us have settled into our new work-spaces at Capstrat, I started thinking about office feng shui. Read on for some basic tips I found online related to how our work-space environment affects our state of mind:
- Remove physical clutter to free up mental clutter.
- Keep your back toward a corner/wall for support.
- Use a good balance of light and dark colors, soft and hard surfaces, and smooth and rough textures in your space to create a good balance of yin and yang.
- Keep the cords to your office equipment out of sight. This allows for the free flow of chi.
- Use a kidney-shaped desk to give you a subconscious feeling of inner alignment.
- Keep plants in your space to help you stay connected to the natural world and reduce toxins.
- Keep a few inspirational pictures, quotes, affirmations, etc around to move you to take action.
- Put your computer in the North or West area of your space to augment your creativity. Put your computer in the Southeast if you use it to generate income.
How do your work-space stack up?
In case you were wondering, I was happy to find that the Kei Loon, or the Chinese Unicorn, is a good omen. I guess that means I can leave my magical unicorn paraphernalia up without concern, whew.
