Politicos, A Prayer and Social Media
Most days at the office include conference calls, endless meetings and a visit to the water cooler. For WUNC State Capitol Reporter Laura Leslie, a day at the office is spent covering many politicos at the N.C. General Assembly.
On this fine day, Laura was witness to a stirring prayer delivered by House Chaplain Rev. Jim Harry -- just before the legislative basketball team boarded a bus for the NC/SC match in Columbia this evening.
Through Laura's blog - "Isaac Hunter's Tavern" - WUNC's listeners get an earful of the inner workings at the legislature. For those in the PR business, Laura's hands-on reporting raises the bar in how people are learning about the NCGA's activities and how we're able to a part of the action - or in this case part of the prayer group.
