Capstrat Gets Engaged Adds Engagement Marketing and Social Media Services

Capstrat, a strategic communications firm based in Raleigh, N.C., today announced it has expanded its services to include engagement marketing and social media strategy via two new hires – Cord Silverstein joins as director of engagement marketing and Tola Oguntoyinbo joins as social media planner.
Both services employ new and emerging techniques to communicate messages and influence behavior. Engagement marketing integrates online and offline tactics, from webcasts and social networking, to viral and word-of-mouth marketing. Social media services utilize marketing strategies and tactics that enable people to connect and form online and offline communities.
Silverstein comes to Capstrat from MarketSmart Interactive where he was vice president of client services and operations. He was responsible for developing engagement marketing programs for clients such as Lowes Home Improvement, Motorola, CitiFinancial and Black & Decker.
Oguntoyinbo earned his masters degree in journalism from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where his thesis covered new business models for online networks. At Capstrat he is responsible for providing clients with practical strategies for effectively utilizing social media and deploying social media tactics and applications on behalf of clients to engage customers and improve their communications, both externally and internally.
