Capstrat, a Raleigh based strategic communications firm, received the Silver Award for Television at the 2008 Pollie Awards. This award was presented to Capstrat for work on behalf of the Partnership for North Carolina’s Future, a coalition focused on addressing important infrastructure and resource needs in North Carolina.
The 60-second television commercial was created to inform North Carolinians about the state's looming infrastructure crisis and encourage them to contact their legislators to voice their concern and underline the importance of managing growth in our state. By briefly describing a number of growing problems with a series of corresponding images, the ad was able to make a lasting impact on viewers.

The response was even better than we had hoped with viewers demanding action from their legislators."
The Pollie Awards and Conference is an annual event hosted by the American Association of Political Consultants that recognizes the best in political and public affairs communications. The Pollies are nationally recognized as the most prestigious awards in the political campaign and public affairs industry. The American Association of Political Consultants also recognizes work in the newspaper, direct mail, phones, internet, fund raising, radio, and student categories.
