Capstrat President, Karen Albritton is scheduled to participate in a panel discussion on Selling the Value of Public Relations to Client Management at the national Bulldog Reporter's Conference in New York on October 3, 2008.

Companies are increasingly demanding measurable results and becoming more hesitant to commit to AOR relationships, making project-based initiatives the norm rather than the exception. As the economy shifts and budgets are trimmed for marketing and public relations, it is imperative to demonstrate the value public relations brings to the bottom line. Albritton and her fellow panelists Alex Stanton, CEO of Stanton Crenshaw Communications and Eric Slutsky, EVP at Ogilvy PR will provide insights on selling marketing and public relations services to client management in a struggling economy. The panel will also provide updates on emerging public relations strategies and techniques.

In her role as Capstrat president, Albritton oversees day-to-day operations for the 90-person firm with a focus on exceeding client expectations, delivering insightful counsel and creating client-agency partnerships, not just vendor relationships. A 25-year agency veteran, Karen's prior experience includes FGI and McKinney & Silver. Albritton earned her B.A. in journalism and political science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and is actively involved in the community, serving on the board of directors for Sustainable North Carolina, the Triangle Chapter of the American Marketing Association, and the North Carolina Bioscience Industry.
