Capstrat will host a monthly series for Triangle American Marketing Association (AMA) members as sponsor of the Social Media Special Interest Group. As a leader in social media technology and active partner with the Triangle AMA, Capstrat will jumpstart conversations among business and marketing professionals about the social media industry.
Cord Silverstein, Capstrat’s Senior Vice President of Engagement Marketing, moderated the first meeting on Friday, September 11 at 7:30 a.m. Silverstein spoke to the Triangle AMA in 2007 about social media, and with continued growth in this technology, more discussion will benefit participating Triangle AMA members. The group will meet every second Friday of each month through 2009 and 2010.
Social media is always changing and marketers are finding new ways to use social media every day. The special interest group will discuss the latest trends, tips and best practices.
"The Social Media group will keep marketers up-to-date on the best ways to use social media for their businesses," said Capstrat’s President Karen Albritton. "Capstrat understands the importance of social media, and we will share that with Triangle AMA members."
The Social Media Interest Group is open to all members of the Triangle AMA chapter and is free.
