Dana Yeganian, Capstrat vice president and account director, will participate in a panel discussion on corporate social responsibility presented by the North Carolina State University (NCSU) College of Management. The discussion, "Making Business Work for People, Planet and Profit," will be held on April 3, 2009, and includes speakers from Lenovo, Cisco and Burt’s Bees. Panelists will demonstrate how organizations can help create positive social change in the community.
The panel is part of an outreach program by NCSU that enables organizations who have successfully implemented corporate social responsibility programs within the community to share their tangible examples and knowledge.
"This is a great opportunity to share the examples and best practices of corporate social responsibility and how it benefits both businesses and the community," said Yeganian. “By embracing best practices, companies can continue to be profitable while simultaneously being socially conscious. Ultimately it is about doing good and doing well.”
Other panelists include Bill Stevenson, director of social investments with Lenovo; Kirsten Weeks, community relations manager with Cisco; and Yola Carlough, director of sustainability with Burt's Bees. The event will be held in 3400 Nelson Hall at the N.C. State College of Management from 3:00 – 4:00 p.m. on April 3, 2009. The event is open to the public with no charge to attend.
