Capstrat, a Raleigh, N.C.-based strategic communications firm, announced today that it earned an honorable mention as Small Agency of the Year from PRWeek magazine. The magazine is the leading publication for the public relations industry.
Capstrat was recognized among national competition for its client successes, strong growth and industry leadership. The agency added 11 new employees in 2006, including positions such as director of engagement marketing and social media developer.
Capstrat’s marketing efforts for a Post-It Note Elvis viral campaign also earned its creative director, Todd Coats, an appearance on The Late Show with David Letterman.
“Capstrat has a unique approach to the changing nature of communications,” one PRWeek judge noted.
The firm added significant new clients in 2006, such as GlaxoSmithKline, the North Carolina Department of Justice and Siemens Medical Solutions.
“We work every day to stay a step ahead on behalf of our clients,” said Capstrat founder and CEO Ken Eudy. “This honorable mention is recognition of the hard work and commitment of our entire team.”
