Capstrat, a communications agency based in Raleigh, announced today that Gary Bushey has joined the firm as Senior SharePoint Developer

Bushey joined Capstrat after serving as senior developer at MicroLink. Prior to that position, he worked with Microsoft as a senior consultant. Bushey was awarded Microsoft’s Most Valuable SharePoint Professional title from 2001-2009.

“Integrating the SharePoint platform into a company’s server helps to accelerate shared business processes and facilitates information-sharing across boundaries for better business insight,” says Cord Silverstein, Capstrat’s Executive Vice President of Interactive. “While many agencies are still researching Web-based collaboration, Capstrat has already realized the impact and value SharePoint will have for years to come.”

Bushey will be working with Capstrat clients to develop modifications that extend the functionality of their SharePoint platforms. The New York Times reports that companies including Ferrari, Starbucks and Viacom have all used SharePoint to create their public-facing websites. All told, more than 17,000 customers use SharePoint.

“We create the perfect storm of creativity, strategy and interactive innovation at Capstrat,” says Todd Coats, Capstrat’s Chief Creative Officer. “Adding Gary’s SharePoint expertise to our team only broadens the capabilities we can provide for our clients.”
