American Institute of Certified Public Accountants Selects Capstrat to Support Durham, N.C. Operations Headquarters' Communications
In the process of setting up a new operations headquarters, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) has turned to Capstrat to help put down roots and hire an additional 150 employees. The recruitment efforts will bring the group’s total work force in Durham to 400. Capstrat, a Raleigh-based strategic communications firm, will aide the AICPA with public relations, public affairs, community relations and advertising.
Capstrat’s work will focus on helping AICPA establish a presence in the region, identify corporate social responsibility opportunities and support its recruitment efforts. The organization has open positions at its Durham office in a variety of areas including accounting, information technology and publishing. Interested individuals can apply at www.aicpa.org/careers.
The AICPA is the national, professional association of CPAs, with approximately 350,000 members across the U.S. and is charged with setting the ethical standards of the profession. The organization also leads the development and grading of the Uniform CPA Examination.
“We are pleased to welcome the AICPA to Durham and are pleased that the organization chose to work with Capstrat,” said John Peterson, director of Client Services at Capstrat. “We’re excited about this engagement because we believe in the AICPA’s potential to be a strong corporate citizen and employer of choice in this region.”
