RALEIGH, N.C. Capital Strategies, a strategic communication firm, has changed its name to Capstrat to reflect the growth that has occurred within the firm over the past decade.

Capstrat, which began primarily as a public affairs firm in 1994, has built a team of strategists, designers, media relations experts and Web specialists. In growing to nearly 50 employees, the firm outgrew its name.

"The name change really isnt a big deal," said Capstrat CEO Ken Eudy. "What's important is the growth of our abilities to meet the needs of our clients at critical moments. The name Capstrat represents the fusion of strategic thinking and creative message delivery into high-energy communications."
