Firm recognized for public affairs and community relations efforts
In the public affairs category, Capstrat is recognized with a Gold SABRE nomination for work on the Fit Community Obesity Prevention Awareness Campaign for Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina and the NC Health and Wellness Trust Fund. Fit Community is a designation and grants program that recognizes and rewards municipality and county efforts that promote physical activity, healthy eating and tobacco-free programs, policies, environments and lifestyles. Gold SABREs recognize the best programs in specific brand-building and reputation management, and the awards are open to programs conducted on behalf of any organization in any industry.
Capstrat’s second nomination is for a Silver SABRE in the telecommunications category for work on the SunCom Cares launch on behalf of SunCom Wireless. SunCom Cares is the wireless phone provider’s community outreach program created to improve the lives of young people by providing educational opportunities in communities where SunCom does business. The program is a finalist for a Silver SABRE as recognition for a program within a specific industry that has either reputation (corporate communications) or branding (product publicity) objectives.
“Capstrat is privileged to work with many terrific clients that are not only doing great work, but are also making a positive impact on their communities. Both of these honors recognize organizations that are doing well and doing good,” said Karen Albritton, executive vice president of Capstrat.
Award nominations were announced Tuesday, March 27. The SABRE Awards ceremony will be held May 8 in New York with more than 1,000 attendees.
