Raleigh, N.C. - Frank Hill, director of Capstrat's Federal Government Relations practice in Washington, D.C., will be part of an expert panel that discusses security as it relates to today's rapidly changing geo-political climate during InfoTech 2004.
This year's InfoTech is the Council for Entrepreneurial Development's 14th annual event in which investors, IT corporate executives and other strategic partners gather to explore critical issues facing North Carolina's multi-billion dollar IT industry. The event will be held on Oct. 8 at the Sheraton Imperial Hotel and Convention Center in Research Triangle Park.
Hill and other experts on the panel, "Security: New Market Opportunities," will share insights into the different technologies, markets and government initiatives that enable entrepreneurs to identify new opportunities for applying their products and services. This panel discussion will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 12:25 p.m.
"The billions of dollars the government is spending on securing the homeland represents an opportunity for organizations with innovative security solutions," said Hill. "Working with the government can be time-consuming, expensive and frustrating for small companies. With a smart strategy for identifying opportunities and pursuing them effectively, even start-ups can find good business in the government market," Hill added.
Hill is a leading expert in the area of government and military projects related to Homeland Security. He and the other panelists, representing major leading security companies, will share successes and emerging trends that have created significant market potential.
Hill is a 20-year veteran of Capitol Hill, and before joining Capstrat, served as chief of staff to Sen. Elizabeth Dole (R-NC). As chief of staff, Hill set up Dole's D.C. and North Carolina offices and supervised more than 40 office legislative and constituent services staff.
Capstrat's Federal Government Relations team assists North Carolina organizations in pursuing business and policy opportunities with Congress and federal agencies.
