Raleigh, N.C. - Ken Eudy, president and CEO of Capital Strategies, has been selected for induction into the North Carolina Public Relations Hall of Fame, in a ceremony that will take place April 14.

The Public Relations Hall of Fame, sponsored by the School of Journalism and Mass Communication at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, was created in 1988 to recognize individuals who have made exceptionally distinguished and career-long contributions to the public relations field.

Eudys background in journalism, politics and public relations has given him a keen understanding of the interactions between business, public policy and media in North Carolina.

"I never thought I'd hold a job in any one field long enough to qualify for a hall of fame, but I'm grateful for this selection nonetheless," Eudy said. "I know I wouldn't have been selected if it hadn't been for the phenomenal growth of Capital Strategies in recent years, so this is a tribute to all of our current and former employees." At the induction ceremony, Eudy will be introduced by Steve Meehan, who co-founded Capital Strategies with Eudy.

Eudy received a B.A. in journalism from the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill, and spent six years as a TV news correspondent for stations in Raleigh and Charlotte, and an additional six years as chief political columnist for The Charlotte Observer. He also taught "Writing for the Media" as a visiting lecturer at Duke University for more than 10 years.

In 1994, Eudy and Meehan founded Capital Strategies, a full-service public relations, public affairs and marketing communications firm based in Raleigh. Its services include strategic communications counsel, grassroots programs, brand development and graphic design.
