Veteran lobbyist Leslie Bevacqua Coman set to share insights on North Carolina's business climate

Raleigh, NC - Key issues facing North Carolina's business community in the upcoming N.C. General Assembly will be the focus of Leslie Bevacqua Coman's presentation during the North Carolina State Government Relations Workshop, set for Feb. 2 and 3 at the Sheraton Capital Center hotel in downtown Raleigh.

The workshop will provide insights on the key players shaping policy in North Carolina, updates on Gov. Mike Easley's and the North Carolina Legislature's agendas, highlights on emerging state issues and lobbying tactics and techniques.

Coman is a highly regarded governmental affairs expert and has lobbied the N.C. General Assembly for 20 years. At 8:15 a.m. on Feb. 3 she will provide expert insight into how lobbyists can support or combat issues facing the state's business community during the upcoming legislative session.

Coman recently joined Capstrat's Public Affairs practice after serving as vice president of governmental affairs for North Carolina Citizens for Business and Industry. She is ranked sixth in the N.C. Center for Public Policy Research's listing of the 50 most effective lobbyists and is the highest-ranked female lobbyist in the state's history.
