Anna Marshall brings enthusiasm and drive to her role of account executive, serving her clients effectively and efficiently. With experience in public relations and public affairs, she specializes in grassroots and grasstops advocacy, coalition building and new media. As a member of our public affairs team, Anna Marshall handles projects for clients such as Land for Tomorrow, McGraw-Hill and Youth Villages.

Before coming to Capstrat, Anna Marshall was an associate account executive at Ketchum Public Relations in Washington, D.C. There she provided comprehensive communications and media support for several public affairs and social marketing clients, including the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Hospira, Open Innovation Network, the Russian Federation and Chase Card Services. Anna Marshall also took the lead in organizing events — from press conferences to bilateral business dialogues to media training events.

While at Ketchum, Anna Marshall helped develop the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Rescue & Restore Victims of Human Trafficking campaign and assisted in launching coalitions across the country. Her team’s work earned her company a PRSA National Capital Chapter Thoth Award for outdoor PSAs.

Anna Marshall started her career at Raleigh agency Howard, Merrell & Partners, as a public relations intern and assistant account coordinator. Along with drafting press releases and preparing press kits, she published an article for a client in Business Leader Magazine. She also interned for N.C. Beautiful and helped to coordinate both the 21st and 22nd Annual N.C. Beautiful Golf Classics.

Anna Marshall graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor’s in communication from North Carolina State University.
