Anne Hainsworth Account Supervisor 919 882 1981 ahainsworth@capstrat.com

From strategic analysis to organizational theory, Anne's broad expertise is focused on our health care. She contributes to our work for Workplace Options, Salix Pharmaceuticals, and Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina.

Anne was previously at Koroberi where she served as director of public relations helping clients such as Paradigm and FKI Logistex position their stories in both national and international media. She also helped develop a social media newsroom and launched the agency’s health care communications practice.

She was a natural working with health care accounts after her work at Fleishman-Hillard’s Washington, D.C. and Raleigh offices. As an account supervisor, she offered strategic communications counsel to high-profile clients including Roche, Pfizer Health Solutions and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.

Anne started cultivating her insights on health care and government relations on Capitol Hill as a legislative and regulatory specialist for America’s Health Insurance Plans and as a legislative assistant for U.S. Rep. Bill Goodling. From the front lines, she mastered the fundamentals of government relations – crafting testimonies for congressional panels, mobilizing grassroots coalitions and devising effective policy strategies. She also worked as a government relations assistant with R. Duffy Wall & Associates in D.C.

In the community, Anne worked with the national literacy program Everybody Wins! for two years in D.C. Equally rewarding were her months in West Africa with Cross-Cultural Solutions, an international volunteer program. From shadowing public health workers to teaching in a local orphanage to meeting with education ministers, her experiences in Africa changed her perspective on health, policy and the cultural context required for international communications. Locally, she now volunteers at the Goathouse Refuge in Pittsboro, a shelter and rehabilitation center for homeless animals.

A graduate of Mount Saint Mary’s College in Emmitsburg, Maryland, Anne majored in political science and earned her MBA with a final project on the future of health care public relations.
