Will’s passion is incorporating rich media and engaging content into a seamless user experience. His development skills are benefiting many of Capstrat’s Web clients, including Genworth Financial, Wake County Economic Development, Deloitte, the NC Health and Wellness Trust Fund, the NC Department of Justice and the Duke University Office of Information Technology.
Prior to joining Capstrat, Will worked in print and Web design for more than five years. His work spanned magazines, collateral, packaging and Web at SpecComm International in Raleigh and Accent Media in Nashville. Freelancing allowed him to design for music labels and artists as well as trade associations.
His design career actually came as a surprise. A University Scholar at North Carolina State University, he was completing a double-degree program in civil and environmental engineering when he found himself wanting more creatively. He purchased his first Mac and left school to pursue a career in graphic design and Web development. An essentially self-taught design education and a two-year internship at Synthesis Creative immersed him in the interactive industry. His insatiable appetite for new technologies keeps him there.
Will's engineering training still serves him well. Besides his creative approach, he also brings a keen analytical eye to problem solving. His Draconian work ethic assures projects meet deadlines and high standards. And his people skills just make him fun to be around.
